I made these fabulous (sugar, almond flavor) Masquerade Cookies as Favors for my Lil' Princess' 6th Birthday/New Year's Eve Masquerade Party last year. I will elaborate on this marvelous event on my next blog! I used fondant to decorate the cookies. I tried to use royal icing but it was too difficult to work with perhaps I just didnt have the time to individually trace and fill each cookie with royal icing. I chose the easier way out, which was the fondant!! This cookie making and decorating process was quite time consuming but I didnt mind at all. It was for my one and only princess, and I would do anything for my kids.
I also made 100 button cookies (with the help of my super awesome cousins: Ivy, Hem, Claire, and Rowee) for my cousins', Peaches and Coy, adorable button-theme babyshower. The cousins and I finished baking, decorating, and putting the labels and ribbons together in two days. I must say, we did a remarkable job!!

It's a Barbie Party, It's a Barbie Party!!!
My beautiful niece, Keoni, had a Barbie-Themed Birthday party this past Thanksgiving. This was such a cute theme for little girls. Keoni's mom, Ivy, asked me to make Keoni's birthday cake and banner to go with her Barbie theme. My "cuzzo" Ivy is another talented crafter. She makes lovely jewelries as well one-of-a-kind and super fabulous clutches. Check out her blog at polystitch.blogspot.com.
GREAT MINDS THINK ALIKE
Ivy and I only discussed a few details on the banner and we didnt even discuss any details about the cake. She obviously trusts my judgement. The end result was amazing because all of our creations matched perfectly. Great minds definitely think alike. Check out the photos so you'll have a better understanding of what I'm talking about.

My first Fondant cake!
I made this cake for my friend's babyshower in September. I was very nervous because I have never worked with fondant before. I only learned from watching youtube videos. What do you think? Not bad for my first fondant cake, ehhhhhh?
Note: First tier is a white cake with caramel filling. Second tier: vanilla cake with strawberry/condensed milk filling.
By the way, the girls at the babyshower enjoyed the cake and complimented how delicious both flavors were.

My First Cake: Captain Rex Helmet
My son loves anything and everything Starwars so I made this Captain Rex Helmet cake for him on his 4th birthday!
Newbie Blogger
I finally decided to join the world of blogging to share my cooking and baking creations.
Short Intro...
I'm a very busy wife and mother of two to Jezzy (6) and Jerion (4). My life revolves around my family, and I wouldn't have it any other way. I also work full-time for the telephone company as a Project Manager. I love to spend time with my family, friends, and extended family. I'm very thankful to be surrounded with the most loyal and fun-loving group of people. Life is too short and we definitely need to cherish every minute of it.
How I found my inner Baker
Last year, as I was planning my son's Star Wars-themed 4th Birthday party, I found a new hobby in BAKING! Honestly, I have never baked a cake or a cookie (from scratch) in my life. I wanted to bake him a cake but opted to buy it from Liana's Kitchen instead. She made this awesome Boba Fett Helmet cake, which inspired me to bake my very first CAKE for Jerion's actual Birthday (since we celebrated his birthday party five days early). I made a Captain Rex Helmet Cake. I will post a picture on my next blog. Anyway, I wasn't about to buy another cake for him so I figured I would check youtube for a tutorial and came across this video, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cHoNkhJ3SVw. I'm proud to say that I did an outstanding job making my very first cake and it was surprisingly delicious! Who knew I had baking, let alone cooking skills? Designing a cake is one thing but making a tasty treat is equally important. I've seen many beautiful cakes, which lacked that oh-so-yummy flavor; everything is not about looks. I feel that everything should be both pretty on the outside as well on the inside in order to have a complete package.
That's All, Folks!!!
I wanted to keep this blog short and sweet since I really don't have the time to write a long story. Enjoy browsing through my page and please don't be a HATER! Thank you and have a nice day!
